Evening Gown

What a pretty evening gown eh..?  This color is really pretty.. not red or pink.. but light maroon in color.  Plus look at all the sequins, they are really nice .. not too much .. and not too little.  I will try and take a picture of it .. from the front.  It was much too windy yesterday.. i didn’t wanna go out.. and take a picture in the wind. The evening gown is good even for prom dresses.. and not just weddings.  At $500 .. i think it is definitely a lot cheaper than in Asia.

Finding Your Soul Mate

As I prepare for my wedding I am often asked about how I met my spouse.  Truth be told, when people hear that I met him on the internet they are in awe that we met online and chatted for a good 6 yrs before I came to Canada and now are getting married after having a child with him.  We have been together technically for about 14 yrs now.

So how do you find your soul mate? While some may be skeptical about chat lines and making friends with a complete stranger, isn’t it the same even if you met him personally or were introduced to each other by a mutual friend?  My advice about0 these adult chat rooms is to use common sense and also keep an open mind.  Even if you don’t make it as soul mates you can still be good friends. Free chats are always fun, you never know who you might meet and I really truly feel that getting to know the person over the internet or phone first before embarking into anything serious isn’t a bad thing at all.

Beach Theme Flower Gal Dress

Since you all know that i have a 4.5 yrs old.. you would also know that she is a very important part of my beach wedding right..??  yes.. besides dressing myself up.. i’ll have to dress her up too.  And this lime green dress caught my attention immediately. So fresh.. and so different .. from the normal flower gal dress. I like it a lot and you can get this one from JC crew at $168 .. which is a bit too  much for my budget.. but maybe i can get a local tailor to sew this for me, not what would be a lot cheaper no..??

Unique Wedding Dress

Tell me this is not the most exquisite and unique wedding evening gown..!! I so love it..!!  I really think this must be customed made.. and not something one can get off the rack.  I’m kinda worried.. if i try and get this here.. i wonder how much it is gonna cost.  But wait i min.. !! i wanted a beach wedding.. so simplicity is the key .. eh.  But one can always admire others and what they are wearing for their wedding right..?  No harm in that eh.

Slow Posting

Sorry for being late.. in my posting..  ! but since the kid had just started school .. i don’t really  have much time to do anything .. much less time to plan for my dream wedding.  But no worries.. i will be resuming really soon.. and you can share all that i had gone thru’ .

Maid Of Honor

So how does one choose the maid of honor..?? your best friend..?? your sister-in-law (the future one) ..??  or your man’s best gal pal..??  Actually .. i’m asking these questions.. only because i don’t know what is the right thing to do.  I’ve got a few choices.. but i also don’t want to offend anyone and plus i really wanna make sure my maid of honor.. really wants to do it.. instead of doing it .. outta obligation.  Any suggests..?? afterall, the maid of honor’s duty is not easy eh.  Read my previous post about it.

Maid of Honor Duties

So even before i choose my maid of honor.. what good is it to have one..??  afterall, don’t you have to pay for the dress the maid of honor gotta wear..?  more money spent..?  afterall, we gotta be frugal about our wedding right..?? we don’t want to overspend.

So this is what a Maid of Honor should do..  i heard.

1)   Go wedding gown shopping with me.. and really tell me the truth about my dress.

2)   Help me to select my bridemaids and also their dresses .. plus pay for my dress and accessories.  woohoo..!!  Now .. i’ve never of this!!  is it true..?? is it true..?? some one tell me leh..!! please..??  I’ll get a MOH immediately if so .. muahahhaha!!

3)   Make all the arrangements with the other bridesmaid .. and include them in all the preparation for the wedding.

4)   Help me .. with the invitations.. and if possible.. also help me send them out.. with the pastries that i choose with the invitations.

5)   Help me to write up the invitations.. and make constructive suggestions about who i should invite.. and who not to.

6)   Help me to wrap guest favors.

7)   Host the bridal shower.

8)   Address and send out bridal shower invitations.

9)   Help with the rehearsal dinner and making sure you attend it.

10) Help me get the wedding dress on the wedding day.

11)  Make sure i look pretty at all times.. during the ceremony.

12)  Hold on to my bouquet whenever i don’t need it.. and be by my side all the time to help me.

13)  To overlook the wedding from beginning to the end.
