Jewelry or accessories .. as one might call it .. is a must for any wedding. Be it for the bride or for the bridal gang. Kit and Kabudle in our town has it all.. and a good selection. I love the prices too.. and if you are doing your prom this year, you may want to check them out yourself. I think I am gonna get something simple for everyone in my wedding .. the bridal gang.
I was told .. that a wedding color has to be choosen for my wedding. Now here i thought.. i chose a beach theme right..?? so shouldn’t that be enough.?? hhahaha!! well.. i was wrong.. a theme and wedding color are two very different thing. I have so many colors i like.. but i loved pastel colors.. so i told my bridesmaid.. pastel.. anything pastel is what i would do .. :) I love the paper lantern.. and i’m on a mission to find it.. and if i can’t find similar .. i’m gonna buy plain ones from the dollar store.. and get some friends who are good with handicraft.. tohelp me.. with the butterflies. Awesome..!! and that shouldn’t cost too much money.. i would think.
So even before i choose my maid of honor.. what good is it to have one..?? afterall, don’t you have to pay for the dress the maid of honor gotta wear..? more money spent..? afterall, we gotta be frugal about our wedding right..?? we don’t want to overspend.
So this is what a Maid of Honor should do.. i heard.
1) Go wedding gown shopping with me.. and really tell me the truth about my dress.
2) Help me to select my bridemaids and also their dresses .. plus pay for my dress and accessories. woohoo..!! Now .. i’ve never of this!! is it true..?? is it true..?? some one tell me leh..!! please..?? I’ll get a MOH immediately if so .. muahahhaha!!
3) Make all the arrangements with the other bridesmaid .. and include them in all the preparation for the wedding.
4) Help me .. with the invitations.. and if possible.. also help me send them out.. with the pastries that i choose with the invitations.
5) Help me to write up the invitations.. and make constructive suggestions about who i should invite.. and who not to.
6) Help me to wrap guest favors.
7) Host the bridal shower.
8) Address and send out bridal shower invitations.
9) Help with the rehearsal dinner and making sure you attend it.
10) Help me get the wedding dress on the wedding day.
11) Make sure i look pretty at all times.. during the ceremony.
12) Hold on to my bouquet whenever i don’t need it.. and be by my side all the time to help me.
13) To overlook the wedding from beginning to the end.
Now this is a perfect beach setting.. and i doubt.. it would cost alot to set up something like that..?? I’ve gotta check with a few friends of ours.. if they can get something like that set up pretty cheaply. The white covering for the chairs.. can be rented i think. Don’t you like it..?? i do .. A LOT..!

Of course if you want to use them for the bridal shower or engagement party .. now that would be another idea too. I really liked it.. i wonder if i can incorporate this in my wedding without overspending. I can’t resist this candle holder as a wedding favor .. i know the ladies would love it.. but what about the men.. that comes for our wedding..?? Minimum of 24 to order.. at $2.49 a piece. So what kinda wedding favor is great for both men and women..?? or should i go about getting different ones..??
A friend sent a chinese wedding doll to me.. all the way from asia.. after knowing that I am having my wedding next summer. Very cute. .and very traditional.. and on one hand.. i wished to have a chinese wedding.. but on the other.. i know it is not possible.. because getting a “kwa” would be very expensive. The traditional “kwa”, is a heavily embroidered formal wedding gown popular in Asia.. said only to be worn once in one’s lifetime.
This is how a traditional kwa looks like. Something like that can cost right up to $800 or more. But the details of the kwa is extraordinary. i’m torn in between now.. if i should go with an evening gown.. or a traditional one…??
As un-chinese as i want our wedding to be.. certain things.. i just cannot get away from tradition. I guess i’m still very chinese deep inside me. I bought these covers.. for the whole house.. during our wedding day. At least our house would look like something auspicious or celebratory is happening.
